D&L Trail

D&L Trail

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania

Running for more than 140 miles through Eastern Pennsylvania, the D & L Trail follows historical canal and railroad routes at the core of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, “where natural resources and human ingenuity combined to power the nations Industrial Revolution.” The pedestrian bridge in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, is a 250-foot steel truss bridge with a wooden deck that spans the Lehigh River and fills one of the last remaining gaps along the trail in Carbon County. The retaining wall was one of the finishing touches for the project and proudly stained by NCS.
